  1. Establish and maintain an irrigation and drainage environmental protection program
  2. Establish and maintain arrangements to ensure the involvement of all personnel in the environmental program

The evidence required to demonstrate competency in this unit must be relevant to workplace operations and satisfy holistically all of the requirements of the performance criteria and required skills and knowledge and include achievement of the following

identify and assess existing and potential risks to the environment arising from irrigation practices and related activities

monitor risks to and impacts on the environment from irrigation

develop an induction and training program to support environmental protection policies and practices

develop an irrigation and drainage environmental plan

Competency requires the application of work practices under work conditions Selection and use of resources for some worksites may differ due to the regional or enterprise circumstances
